Tincture The Alchemist’s Gin | Wild Bramble Delight

The latest super small batch of Tincture the Alchemist’s Gin is Wild Bramble Delight or “Wilde Braambos Genot” in Afrikaans 🤩 Go on, say it!

Rubus rigidus- Rosaceae- Wild Bramble – wildebraam (Afrikaans); ijingijolo (Zulu); munambala in Venda.

A sprawling shrub with long trailing branches with sharp, hooked prickles. Beautiful pink flowers are followed by tasty red berries that turn purple as they ripen. Widely distributed in the eastern part of Southern Africa from the Cape to East Africa.

They are delicious to eat with 15mg Vit C per 100g and form an important food source in some rural areas, also used for making jam, jelly and cold drinks- closely related to blackberries and raspberries from Europe and North America-all derived from the Rubus species. This all culminates in the unique colours and taste of the latest Tincture the Alchemist’s Gin which is yours to enjoy.
